Colour as presence
Born in Datong, Shanxi, Zhang Zhiyong studied Art with a focus on Design and Decoration at the Art College of Taiyuan University of Technology. His practice moves between vivid botanical structures, expressive figures and psychologically charged colour fields.
Heseri places his work in dialogue with residential and commercial interiors, considering scale, light, sightlines and the way a painting changes the atmosphere of a lived space.
